If you cook chicken, we all have to cook chicken. You think I’m gonna yell my address at the Uber eats driver while you cut into a chicken you marinated over night? That’s embarrassing. Now I feel obliged to marinate my own chicken. Fuck you.

If you want something done a certain way, do it, we’ll catch on. For example, what I was envisioning for the foyer is a big pile of trash right near the front door. So far, no one gets the stylistic vision but soon enough, the pile will grow. Trust me.

You may not know it, but you have a cup. You’ve used the same cup now more than twice and as a result, that is now your cup. I won’t use it, so don’t use mine. I also have a fork, please don’t touch it.
Ok so first of all, I hope everyone’s doing amazing. My advice for this week is a piece of advice I acquired on my weekend get-away in London. In response to my question “do you have any advice for someone just starting abroad?” my friend’s older sister said “invest in your home base.” I love that.
One should put effort and time into making their primary living space (abroad room) one that is homey and comfortable. When you’re traveling all the time, it’s easy to become unsettled. Therefore, being able to go home to a room you’re excited about makes all the difference.
Not only is this a great piece of advice for going abroad, it also applies to all things in life. To invest in your home base is to invest in your own peace of mind. This is your sign to go back to Zara home and buy that pricey yet shockingly comfortable blanket. You’ll be happy you did.
